Circuit Rebel - Warranty

Circuit Rebel Warranty Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2025
Applies to: All refurbished, restored, and modded consoles sold by Circuit Rebel

1. Overview

Each console built by Circuit Rebel undergoes a full refurbishment, testing, and modernization process designed to deliver long-term reliability and premium performance. I proudly stand behind my workmanship and offer a 90-Day Limited Warranty on all Game Boy Advance consoles and other refurbished handheld systems.

This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what isn’t, and how to request support.

2. Warranty Coverage (90 Days)

Circuit Rebel guarantees your console to be free from defects in:

• Workmanship

Soldering, installation of mods, board restoration, and internal assembly.

• Replacement Components

Any OEM internal parts we replaced during refurbishment (switches, triggers, membranes, d-pads, volume wheels, speakers, power switches, LEDs, etc.)

• Installed Mod Kits

Including, but not limited to:

  • FunnyPlaying Laminated IPS M2 screens
  • FunnyPlaying USB-Rechargeable Battery Mods
  • FunnyPlaying or Retro Modding power boards
  • Custom wiring and solder joints

• Electrical Reliability

Issues caused by refurbishing errors or defective components.

If your device fails due to any covered issue during the 90-day period, Circuit Rebel will:

  1. Diagnose the issue
  2. Repair the device at no cost
  3. OR replace the console if it cannot be repaired

Return shipping for approved warranty claims is covered by Circuit Rebel.

3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does NOT apply if the issue is caused by:

  • Physical damage (drops, cracks, pressure damage, crushed triggers, snapped shells, etc.)
  • Liquid exposure
  • Attempted repairs, mods, or internal opening by the customer or a third party
  • Damage caused by unofficial chargers, cables, or batteries
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic imperfections
  • Battery life reduction due to standard use
  • Cart connection issues caused by dirty or damaged game cartridges

Any console that shows signs of being opened or altered after purchase is automatically ineligible for warranty coverage.

4. Warranty Claim Process

To request warranty support:

  1. Contact me through the website
  2. Include the following:
    • Your order number
    • Your full name
    • A detailed description of the issue
    • Photos or video demonstrating the problem, if possible

Once your claim is reviewed, I will respond with next steps.
Most claims are processed within 1–3 business days.

If a return is necessary, I will provide a prepaid shipping label for all approved warranty cases.

5. Repairs Outside the Warranty Period

After the 90-day period, Circuit Rebel continues to offer lifetime repair support at reasonable service costs.
Common services include:

  • Screen replacements
  • Battery replacements
  • Shell swaps or repairs
  • Button/contact repairs
  • Power issues

I will always let you know pricing before any repair is performed.

6. Exclusions for Collector’s Condition Consoles

Because many consoles we refurbish are decades old, small cosmetic imperfections on original OEM components may exist. These cosmetic details are not covered by warranty unless explicitly stated as part of a “collector grade” listing.

7. Limitations of Liability

Circuit Rebel is not responsible for:

  • Loss of personal data or save files
  • Damage caused by accessories not purchased through Circuit Rebel
  • Game cartridge issues
  • Shipping damage caused by customer-provided packaging

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have additional rights depending on your state or country.

8. My Commitment to Quality

Every console I build is handcrafted, tested, and verified using professional tools and Game Boy diagnostic cartridges.
I believe in transparent, honest support. If a problem is caused by my workmanship, I will fix it.

No hassle. No stress. Just real support for real retro hardware.
